What this is
Arc is operated by Arc Social Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Our legal documents explain your rights, our responsibilities, and the rules everyone follows. You can read them all any time at /legal, and each one is linked from the footer of every page.
The nine documents
- Terms of Service — the main agreement: who can use Arc, your account, and how Arc works as a platform and marketplace rather than a seller, employer or bank.
- Privacy Policy — what data we collect, why, the legal basis, and your rights under UK GDPR (plus EU, California, Australia, India and Pakistan).
- Cookie Policy — Arc uses only essential cookies. No tracking or advertising cookies, ever.
- Community Guidelines — what is welcome on Arc and what is not, in plain English.
- Refund and Returns Policy — refunds for subscriptions, shop purchases, tickets, bookings, hire and donations.
- Creator Terms — rules for creators: content, monetisation, payouts and subscriptions.
- Seller Terms — rules for selling, including obligations for international sellers.
- Hub Terms — rules for creating and running a Hub.
- Acceptable Use Policy — permitted and prohibited uses, and how enforcement escalates.
Key things to know
- Arc is 18 and over. Arc is an adults-only platform, and age is verified rather than self-declared.
- Arc is a platform. For shop, jobs, events, bookings, hire, fundraising and creator content, your agreement is with the other user, not with Arc.
- Your data is never sold. Arc makes money from subscriptions, not from you.
- We cooperate with valid legal process from any country, and act immediately where there is a risk of harm.
When we update these documents
If we make a material change to the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, we give 30 days notice. When a change needs your agreement, you will see a short pop-up the next time you open Arc explaining what changed, with a link to read the full document. You accept it with one tap to carry on using Arc. Your acceptance and the version you agreed to are recorded.
