What this is
If you run a business on Arc, you can pay to promote your content so more people see it. Everything you promote is clearly labelled "Promoted" or "Sponsored" — that's the law, and it keeps Arc honest.
Advertising is available to Business and Organisation accounts.
Ways to promote
- Featured listing (£9.99 / 7 days) — pin a product, job or event to the top of its section.
- Promoted post (£5 / 7 days) — show one of your posts to more people in the feed.
- Hub sponsorship (£99.99 / month) — your logo and name featured on a Hub you admin.
- Business directory (£14.99 / month) — list your business in the Arc directory, searchable by type and location.
How to create a promotion
- Go to Promote (or My promotions → New promotion).
- Choose a promotion type.
- Pick what to promote — the specific product, job, event, post or Hub.
- Review the price and duration, tick the box to agree to Arc's advertising policy, and pay securely.
Your promotion goes live as soon as payment completes and runs for the chosen period.
Tracking your results
Open My promotions to see, for each promotion:
- Impressions — how many times it was shown
- Clicks — how many people tapped it
- Click rate — clicks ÷ impressions
The rules (important)
- Every promoted item is labelled "Promoted" or "Sponsored" — always.
- You must agree that your promotion is legal, honest and truthful, and follows the UK advertising rules (CAP Code), before you can pay.
- Misleading or prohibited promotions may be removed.

Who can advertise? Business and Organisation accounts.
How much does it cost? From £5 for a promoted post up to £99.99/month for Hub sponsorship — you see the exact price before paying.
Where does my promotion appear? Featured listings go to the top of Shop/Jobs/Events; promoted posts appear in the feed; directory listings appear in the Directory; Hub sponsorships appear on the Hub.
Can I see if it's working? Yes — impressions and clicks are shown in My promotions.
Troubleshooting
- "Business account required" — upgrade to a Business or Organisation account under Upgrade.
- I have nothing to promote — create a product, job, event or post first.
- My promotion isn't showing — it activates once payment completes; check My promotions for its status.
- I can't pay — make sure you've ticked the advertising-policy agreement.
