Arc Wallet & Virtual Card

Send money to friends, request payments, run group collections, and get a virtual Visa card — all inside Arc.

What this is

The Arc Wallet lets you move money with other Arc members and spend with a virtual Visa card. Money goes straight from the payer to the recipient's bank through Stripe — Arc never holds your money.

You must be 18 or older to use the wallet and card.

Sending money (Arc to Arc)

1. Open Wallet and tap Send money.
2. Search for the person by @username or name.
3. Enter an amount and (optionally) a note, then send. You pay securely by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
4. They get an instant notification — "Samar sent you £50" — and the money lands in their account.

Fees: the first £50 each month is free. Above that, there's a small 0.5% fee on the extra. If the person hasn't set up a payout account yet, the money is held for them and they're prompted to connect one to claim it.

Requesting a payment

1. In Wallet → Requests, tap Request payment.
2. Enter the person's @username, an amount, a description and a due date.
3. They get a request with a Pay button. Payment requests live in your Business inbox — never in your personal messages.

A 1.5% fee applies to paid requests.

Group collections

Collecting for a gift or a trip?

1. In Wallet → Collections, create a pot with a name and (optional) goal.
2. Share the link — anyone can chip in.
3. Watch the progress bar fill up, and withdraw the total when you're ready.

A 0.5% fee applies to contributions.

Scheduled payments

Set up a repeating payment to someone — weekly, monthly, or every 28 days — in Wallet → Scheduled. Each payment runs automatically on its due date from your saved card, and the recipient is notified. If a payment can't be taken (for example your card is declined), we retry on the next run and let you know; after 3 failed attempts in a row the schedule is paused so you can fix your card. Cancel anytime.

Withdrawing to your bank

From Earnings, withdraw your balance:

• Standard — free, arrives in 1–3 business days.
• Instant — £0.50 or 1% (whichever is higher), arrives in minutes.

The Arc Virtual Card

Get a free virtual Visa card in Wallet → Card:

• Works anywhere Visa is accepted online, and in-store via Apple Pay / Google Pay.
• Add money from your Arc Wallet, or top up directly (0.5% fee).
• Reveal the card number, freeze/unfreeze instantly, set spending limits, and request a new number if it's ever compromised.
• Spending has a flat 0.5% fee worldwide — Arc is global from day one.

Common questions

Does Arc hold my money? No — it moves straight from the payer to the recipient's bank via Stripe.

Is it really free? Sending up to £50/month is free; small fees apply above that and to requests, collections and card use.

Who can use the wallet and card? Anyone aged 18 or over.

Where do payment requests appear? In your Business inbox — never your personal messages.

Troubleshooting

• My recipient didn't get the money — they may need to connect a payout account; they'll be prompted to. Funds are held safely meanwhile. If they still haven't set one up after 7 days, the payment is automatically refunded to you and you'll both be notified.
• I can't open the Wallet — you must be 18 or older.
• My card says "coming soon" — we're finishing setting it up; you'll be able to use it shortly.
• A payment failed — no money is taken unless it completes; try again.
